Before I started treatment with Dr. Kevin Lundell, I had a lot of back pain. I was unable to stand up immediately when getting out of bed in the morning. It took me a half an hour to an hour to be able to walk around the house without crying. I immediately took 800mg of Ibuprofen so I could function in caring for  my two young children. If I ran my hand down both sides of my hips it hurt. It felt like I was bruised deep inside my hip joints. I am in my early 30’s and shouldn’t be feeling like a 75 year old woman. I knew I needed help and needed help fast. I sought help with Dr. Lundell and he was able to take x-rays at his office without sending me somewhere else to have them done. He also took a photo analysis of me that discovered how I was carrying my weight, and if my body was aligned properly, which it was not. I was carrying 2/3 of my weight on my left side. It also revealed that I was not carrying my head on my shoulders properly, which was the reason for a lot of my neck pain. I enjoy playing the piano and before treatment was only able to play for 15 minutes then I would have to stop from my neck beginning to ache.  Dr. Lundell was so thorough in my initial examination that I knew immediately that he cared and was going to work hard to get me feeling better. Within three treatments I could already discover a huge difference in my body. I was taking less pain medication and gaining more mobility. This was huge for me. I continued my treatment with him because I was getting very pleasing results and I was feeling less and less pain. I now can do the things I enjoyed doing like playing the piano, playing basketball, and playing with my children without taking any pain medication at all. I am on a maintenance program with Dr. Lundell where I visit him twice a month. I know with doing this and exercise I will maintain a healthy back and neck and will not ever revisit the pain that I was once in. For the past three years, I have been in severe pain.  I would awake every morning unable to even get out of bed, let alone get up and go to my full-time job every day.  My arms and legs were numb and tingling, my back hurt terribly, my legs ached every moment I was awake, and I had terrible headaches daily.  I just thought I was getting older and my body was beginning to break down due to the type of strenuous work I did every day.  In January 2010, when the pain became more than I could bear, I finally made an appointment with my family doctor who performed thousands of dollars of tests on me including blood work, colonoscopies, and upper endoscopies.  Shortly thereafter, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.  My doctor wanted me to begin taking an anti-depressant.  I didn’t feel like I needed an anti-depressant and decided to just continue living with the pain. In March of 2011, during a routine physical with another doctor, I mentioned the diagnosis of fibromyalgia.  He suggested that I make an appointment with a Chiropractor.  Fortunately, I knew Dr. Kevin Lundell through his wife.  During my first visit with him, he examined me and took simple x-rays of my neck and spine.  When we got the results back he showed me how my spine was misaligned in several areas. We set up a second appointment, where he adjusted my upper neck and lower back and also instructed me on some home exercises.  After this initial adjustment I noticed a difference in my level of pain.  He asked me to return for regularly for adjustments, but after the third adjustment, the tingling and numbness in my arms and legs had completely disappeared, as well as the headaches.  With subsequent visits, my neck and back have become pain free!
